FAQ

First, thanks for making NNVote an internet sensation. I wanted to address some common questions that I found myself answering over and over on individual forums and chats.

Why isn't (insert model name) in the contest?

First off, I am open to suggestions including my "who should be in the contest" question of the week each month mainly featuring models that haven't been in yet. But at the end of the day, I decide who the 32 girls are from month to month. I put a lot of thought into this as it involves factors beyond their "hawtness". Since there are only 32 spots on the bracket, hot models will always be left out. However, if you want to see a girl on next month's bracket - ask her or her webmaster to let me know.

Why are topless/nude models in the contest when the domain name is NNVote.com?

As far as nude models go, I made this decision at the inception of the contest. There are just far too many wonderful models that show their boobies (or more) to keep this NN in the strictest sense. Just about every NN site out there ( NNLover.com , NNUpdate.com , NNBoards.com , NNGalleries.com , etc) feature sites that contain nudity. The spirit and intent of this content is to include a wide array of models not split hairs over nudity.

Bottom line, the domain name is not the indicative of the nature of the contest.

Why is there a missing percentage point?

Simply put, we don't round up or show the decimal point. If Model A has 51.5% of the vote and Model B has 48.5% of the vote, it will show up in the bracket as 51 versus 48.

What are the wildcard spots for? How can I get one?

That's for me to know and for you to find out. (j/k)

I honestly don't know how all of the spots will be allocated. I know that I plan on some contests towards the homestretch and I will probably give out a wildcard or two to models that really want to be in the finals and have come very close on their own to reach the finals in more than one month. (Word to the wise: Get your NNVote.com themed photoshoot ideas cookin!)

Update: The Wildcard positions in the playoffs were allocated to models who came close to winning a month at least once, if not more than once.

Why are the results so close? (or) Why are the results not in line with my personal preferences?

I have no vested interest in who wins or loses. I do not sway the vote because the integrity of the contest is more valuable to me than any personal preferences. Just because a voting result doesn't match your preferences or opinions, is not a sign of the contest being “rigged”… We've already had a couple of grass roots campaigns win out over daunting competition.

Finals Update: Due to our proxy blocking and one vote per IP per day limitation, some fans vote from multiple computers. While this is against the spirit of the contest, we cannot track this practice as of yet. We hope to implement a simple account system soon that will allow registered users to have their votes carry heavier weight than non-registered users.

Why can't I vote? It says I'm behind a proxy!

Allowing proxy votes would rob the contest of any integrity. We take every precaution to block such voting. Go to http://www.nnvote.com/proxy/proxy.php and find out if you are behind a proxy. Some users don't realize they are when they are. If you believe you should be able to vote and you cannot email me and we'll see what we can do.

I don't like my thumbnail you've choosen? Can you change it?

Assuming you are the model or the webmaster, link me to a 100x150 thumbnail you feel would serve you better and I'll gladly change it. If you are a fan, you may make a suggestion, but I can't promise you that the change will be made.

Will you release voting results so I can see the number of votes?

If I say yes to one of these requests, I would feel compelled to be fair and answer each of them. I choose not to for the time consumption of such responses.

*******

Folks, I hope this helps. As more FAQ material becomes relevant, I will update this document. Finally, remember the contest is meant to be fun. So have fun with it! Happy Voting!
